The Ronda Camino
This week starts at Almuña. Each walking day on your journey to Ronda takes you through ever changing scenery marked by Mediterranean vegetation, heady with the scent of wild lavender and thyme, with views across two oceans.
"After Gaucín the landscape changed, and we walked all morning through an Arcadian countryside of deep valleys filled with cork oak forests." - Brian Jackman The Sunday Times
You follow narrow paths through cork forests, olive groves, green pastures and rugged limestone mountains. Every day is a completely different walking experience, most accompanied by mules. The final walk in to Ronda will leave an indelible memory of the great gorge straddled by the mighty bridge, only to be seen on foot.
