Riding Holidays in Andalucia
Clare and Hughie Arbuthnott have ridden all of their lives and most recently worked together guiding riding holidays in Argentina. The land around Almuña is extensive and perfect for riding with wonderful rolling farmland and mountain scenery following ancient muleteer paths.
Andalucía is famous for its breed of horses founded by the Carthusian monks during the reign of the Hapsburgs. They are noted for their calm and sure footed nature and became the favoured horse for heavy cavalry. They are also the breed behind the famous horses at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and Jerez.
These riding holidays are for people who have had some previous riding experience.
