It was a superb weekend we managed to encompass so much in such a short time, a walk around the local village of Gaucin, beautiful walks, riding through the Almoraima National Park on Andalucian Horses, a cooking demonstration with Jane, Hugh, Antonia and Paco involving a wine tasting, paella, spanish tortilla, red pepper soup, ginger prawns and chicken in a tomato mayonnaise, we even had time for a sherry tasting.
There were some gorgeous dinners and drinks in front of the fire along with some excellent piano recitals. The long weekend culminated with a walk through the stunning Andalucian countryside and finished off with a picnic or garbanzo and chorizo stew, gazpacho and manchego with quince and sherry soaked raisins overlooking the bridge at Ronda. What a weekend!
